Module 2.3 - Shame: Not Knowing Your History May Doom You to Repeat It

Do you practice any form of mindfulness in your life? What is the value of that activity? If not, try it – give yourself some mindfulness time in your day. Remember some painful interactions in your work life in recent weeks or months and ask yourself some good questions: Why did that moment push my buttons? What was I hearing in my core during that conflict? Was any of my response based in something painful from my past? Am I carrying some shame in my life. Also, spend some time thinking if there’is anyone against whom you are holding a judgment. If so, think about the exercise of writing a letter to them and then destroying it. Share about any of this in your Core Journal.
